Skin 79 Snail Nutrition BB cream review

Hello ^--^
I just realised what a bad blogger I have been, I mean if I'm reading a blog I get angry if they don't update it atleast once a week haha let alone once a month.

But I am back with a review ^-^b

I got this BB cream around a month ago, maybe a little longer from cosmetic-love.com
You can see the picture of my haul in the last post
Anyway I have had plenty of time to use and test this, so lets start with the packaging....

This BB cream includes the ingredient Snail secretion filtrate, did this put me off?
Not really no, I mean I could see why it would put people off but it didn't bother me!
The BB cream has both UV A and UV B protection with SPF 45

The box says
"Protecting the skin from both UV A and UV B, the tri-functional snail BB cream brightens the dark and dull skin tone, and maintains the skin clean and supple with it's whitening and wrinkle-improving effects"

This BB cream is also Paraben free yaaaay!!!!

I love the packaging it looks really expensive and luxurious, and I love the pump design, it's very hygeniec and easy to get the product out.. The only downside I can see is that the both the bottle and box stain really easily, you can see bb cream finger prints all over them. They are easy to wipe off though.

Now onto swatches....

This swatch is taken under direct sunlight, it actually looks lightly orange here but it isn't that orange in really life.

Partially swatched and blended,
you can see the colour is a little off for me.
I am extremely pale and so my past experience with BB creams have been mixed.
My Skin 79 VIP gold BB cream matched pretty well, even though it had a slight grey cast.
I would have repurchased but it contains parabens and I am trying to but products without them.
My Innisfree eco cover and Lioele triple function was too dark for me.

This BB cream for me had a very strange colour, It had quite strong pink undertones which is good becasue I have slightly pink skin, but the pink was almost too strong for me. Also it has quite strong orangey/grey undertones. I don't really now how to explain the colour but it definetly looked a bit off on my face, although I am quite hard to buy foundation for.

Fully blended, sorry about the vein, it seems to go l ike that when I swatch haha

You can see it doesn't look too bad but on my face it just looks a little odd.

This is defenitely a moisturising BB cream, it has quite a strong dewy effect.
The consistency is quite smooth and creamy and easy to blend.
The coverage is ok, it evens out my redness but doesn't cover blemishes exceptionally well, I need to wear a concealer for blemishes, although it doesn't do a bad job about covering under-eye circles.
The scent was a bit of a strange thing for me, sometimes I don't smell anything at all, sometimes I pick up a light florally scent and then occasionally I get quite a strong smell from it which is hard to explain, sort of like milk or yohgurt but less intense, but that goes away upon application.
It lasts a decent amount, but by around 4 to 5 hours in it strated to go a little cakey in some areas and fade in others, but that happens with a lot of foundations for me so it might just be my skin.

Overall I think I give this BB cream a....
3/5

FOTD, OOTD and Korean make up and skincare haul

Hello :) ~
I apologise profusely for not writing a post in so long, I don't really have much of an excuse, I was on holiday but only for a week, so, I have been neglecting this blog a little bit, and I feel bad

This is mainly just an update, showing some recent, FOTD's,OOTD's and hauls
Recently I have been branching out a little bit with what k-pop songs I listen to, I didn't really listen to many girl groups except Miss A (whose new song I love <3) but thanks to eatyourkimchi I have started listening to 2ne1 and I LOVE them, wow :L
I love there fashion, and am contemplating purchasing a replica of one of the hoodies I saw with the sticky out angel wings on the back. Also I wish I could afford a pair of the trainers/sneekers designed by them, oh well, I shall just have to cut out some cardboard wings and stick them to the side of my current trainers.....nobody will know.....

Anyway here is the first FOTD.....

I exaggerated the eyeliner and eye shadow a bit, as an experiment and I think I am wearing fasle eyelashes from this multi pack I just bought, will have to show you in the next post.
I am pretty much wearing what I always wear on my skin with a few exceptions, the blush is very pale and is totally washed out by the light, but it is Etude House cookie blusher in the lightest pale pink shade-1# Strawberry Mousse, also wearing different mascara-Tony Moly Cats Wink black mascara.

Next my Korean Haul post, these weren't ordered all at once, but over the stretch of a few months, all products were bought from Cosmetic Love (website: http://cosmetic-love.com/?sl=EN)
I love ordering from them becasue its pretty cheap, fast shipping and they give you loads of free samples <3
I bought...
Lioele Beyond the Solution BB cream
Etude House Lovely Cookie blusher in 1# Strawberry Mousse
Tony Moly Cats Wink mascara in black
Skin 79 Snail Nutrition BB cream
Etude House wonder Pore toner <3

Reviews for some of these products soon :)

Next is my OOTD, this was taken a few nights back for a cinema date, so dressy but not too dressy

The t-shirt is from Bubbi t-shirt line (youtuber bubzbeauty)
The blazer/cardigan is from Primark
The skirt is from Primark
the tights I am not too sure, and the necklace was a gift

Finally the last FOTD

This was taken while I was on holiday, I was a bit bored so I was messing around with contouring my nose and cheekbones
I also used eye shadow on my inner corners, winging it down
I know a lot of people use liquid eye liner, because it smudges less but putting eye liner there sometimes irritates my eyes, so I use eye shadow instead (trick from youtuber klairedelys)

Well that's it till next time

OOTD and Cute Hair Accessories

Hey Guys

I have been reasonably busy with school recently, so sorry I haven't posted,
Yesterday I was asked to do the face painting at my local village's fete,
I have done face painting before a few times at big events and have always done pretty well.
Unfortunately there wasn't many young people at the fete so I think I painted about 5 peoples face :(
So to cheer myself up, I stopped off at a small local shop called "home-made home"
It is extremely small, but it soo sweet inside. I should have taken some pictures but I am not sure the shop owner would have liked it. It is full of home-made items for the home as well as some furniture and jewellery and accessories. Everything was florally and feminine, I loved there floral bunting which reminded me of the brand "Kath Kidson"
Anyway I got  some very cute hair bows, when I handed it to the shopping assistant she was like
"Buying this for your little sister?"
I was like
"Ermmm no just for me"
"Oh ok then (puzzled expression)
I actually think these hair bows are meant for babies and toddlers, but oh well ^--^

Here is Yesterday OOTD, me and my friends went to the Beach in the evening and  got Noodles and generally walked about! It was surprisingly fun, seeing as we basically did nothing hahaha :)

Cape and Shorts from New Look
Thigh Highs' Primark

I also thought I would take some pictures of my growing collection of Hair accessories, this isn't all of them, but I would have to dig into the depths of time that is my drawers to find the others :)

Flower accessories

Mixed accesories

Dolly make up FOTD

Hey Guys,
I had a pretty rubbish day yesterday, I finally got my Boys over flowers DVD, had to pay extra £15 for handling costs and when I tried on my apparently "multi-region" DVD player it wouldn't work, even after adjusting the settings to the right region and NTSC format it still wouldn't play. It doesn't work on my computer either and so I have no idea what to do. I was so desperate to start watching the series and now I can't!

To cheer myself up I tried some "Dolly" make up today,
I tried to copy Dakota Rose's eye make here, I don't know if it really worked!
I think it's fun to mess around with make up and try new looks, I am not trying to be dakota rose I was just inspired by her makeup!

Tsubasa Masuwaka Natural eye make up tutorial

I know I said that my first tutorial would be Go Hye Mi's make up from Dream High, but I was suddently inspired to do this make up look after looking for Tsubasa Masuwaka picture when she had dark hair.
This picture was my inspiration...

Quite natural, and dolly

So here is the make up tutorial
*disclaimer* I am not trying to be Asian, or Tsubasa Masuwaka, I am simply drawing inspiration from one of the top Gyaru models of the world

Apply a neutral, cream base to the eyes

Apply a warm brown colour to the crease of the eye to deepen the look of double eyelids

Apply the same warm brown colour to this portion of the eye

Apply a dark grey/black eye shadow colour to the outer corner of the eye

Apply False eyelashes, I am using Dolly Winks Otona lash in number 9 Natural dolly
A more natural lash would suit this look

Apply mascara to your lower lashes, or apply natural bottom lashes if your eyelashes are shorter
Clean up any smudges
Finally tight line you upper water line

Finished look

Ok sorry the picture quality isn't so good in the last pic, so you can't see the make up too clearly.
But it should look very natural but also quite dolly

Collection 2000 Colour pout lip stain review

Hey everyone,
Today I will be review Collection 2000's new lip stain, which I bought from Superdrug for just under £4.
I bought it in the colour "pucker"

I like the packaging, it's quite sleek and the colours of the cap reflect the colour (sort of) of the lip stain

Next Swatches!!
On the left (the brighter pink) is the collection 2000 swatch, I added my Revlon Just bitten stain on the right (colour frenzy) for comparisons sake
You can see that the Collection 2000 stain is much more pigmented and I think longer lasting

Swatch on the lips

This is with no other products, so my lips look a bit dry, you can see the colour does stain the dry area more, so I recommend ex foliating you lips before applying

Swatch on lips 2
You can see it looks much better here.
I would wait for your lip balm to absorb before applying the stain, because the colour is much less pigmented when put over fresh lip balm

In conclusion, I have really enjoyed this lip stain so far, I like the colour a lot, it reminds me of the lips a lot of Korean actresses sport in K-Dramas. The colour is long lasting and I didn't feel the need to apply after eating/drinking. The cons may be that it is quite difficult to blend, and it does settle into dry areas.
Overall I think I give this
4/5

Foreign Ulzzang

This has been a topic that has been bugging me for a while
Can "foreign" people ( non-Korean people) be Ullzang.
A lot of people have been saying that no, foreign people cannot be Ulzzang, this is the reason...
The original Ullzang were Korean people who uploaded pictures to websites such as Cyworld and became famous or recognized because of there cuteness/handsomeness/beauty.
Because Cyworld is available only to Korean people, it is often thought that only people with access to Korean sites like these can become Ullzang.

This may have been true a few years ago but since then, it is my opinion that Ullzang has developed form a status to a style.
You get Ullzang make up tutorial, cosmetics, wigs, clothes etc..
People from all over the world have seen and adored this fashion and are trying to replicate it. I think Ulzzang has moved on from Cyworld into a fashion/style, and why should people not be allowed to wear a fashion/style because of there ethnicity.
Take Gyaru as an example, think about how many Gaijin Gyaru's there are out there, so many in fact that they are producing there own magazine-Gal VIP. I respect that a lot, they are being unique and confident in there style, and why shouldn't they??

To conclude it is in my opinion (I mean no harm to anyone in writing this post, I just want to share my opinion) that Ullzang has evolved from a status to a style, and why should anybody be restricted from wearing a fashion/style they admire, and love!

OK enough with the rant, tomorrow hopefully I will be putting up a review of Collection 2000's new lip tint!! I have really enjoyed this product so far, more on that tomorrow.
I also want to get on with my first make up tutorial, I think I might replicate Go Hye Mi's Dream Hi style, but I have to wait, my Dad has decided to lend me is amazing semi-professional Bridge Camera, I am so excited to try it out!!!!

FOTD and Boys over flowers

Ok, I'll admit it, I have become a little bit obsessed with Boys over Flowers of late,
I stayed up until four the other night and watched loads of episodes,
and I have just paid £36 (roughly 45 Euros or 56 American dollars) for the second box set of Boys over flowers.
I have had a bad experience when ordering K-Dramas before, I ordered Dream High off of ebay for something ridiculous like £12, and on most of the disks, the English subtitles were completely ridiculous.
Picture this, I am sitting happily about to embark on a major Dream High marathon, I wait expectantly as Go Hye Mi says something, the subtitles come up and this is what it reads...
Shark house, today five clock, grass, I told you head band
>-<
Anyway, the full box set was like 100 dollars, so I will just have to save up for the first and buy it another time!! I have watched up to episode 13 pretty much anyway.
I think I am going to have withdrawal  symptoms pretty soon, I keep finding myself shouting "Aish" when I am annoyed....

Recently I got the results back for my exams and the they were pretty good!!
So my sister bought me this when she was at the airport..

7 Mini pots of Nutella

She knows me soo well, I love how they think this will last a week >->
Also I will probably just eat it out of the jar, instead of on toast hahahahaha!!!!

Here is my make up for today, we went clothes shopping and my mum wanted to beat the rush so we where there my 9, I had to crawl out of bed at 7.30, that may be why I look tired in this photo..

I used...
Revlon colourstay foundation
Lily Lolo Mineral powder
Innisfree Marbling Highlighter
2true Lip and cheek stain
Lily Lolo blusher in "Candy Doll"
Fcuck eye shadow palette
Numer 17 liquid eyeliner in  Soft Mocha
Soap and Glory Thick and fast mascara
Collection 2000 black pencil eyeliner
Natural Collectio white pencil eyeliner
Vaseline lip care with Aloe Vera
Collection 2000 Colour pout lipstain 8 "Pucker"

Review for the lipstain soon I think, although I just got it today haha!!
Ooooh i really want to listen to the soundtrack of boys before flowers now!
I wonder how much it is!!
I love the Shinee song Stand by me
Howl-Love you
Jisun-what do i do

Kim Yu Kung- Starlight tears, this song plays when there are sad moments with Jan Di and Jun Pyo, its such a sad but beautiful song!!
Also VA-Strange sun, which plays when there are sad moments with Ji Hoo. Ji Hoo plays it throughout the Drama on his violin and guitar, it is also played on the piano and might be my second favourite piano piece. First being a piano piece from the film Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence.
I think I might look on ebay now for the soundtrack!!

Anyway thankyou for reading as always! Have a nice day

Gyaru and Ulzzang?

Can you be both, or can you only be one??
I don't think you should be tied down to a certain style or I think you would just get bored,
it's fun to sometimes mix it up and experiment.

After watching a few Korean programmes recently (Boys over flowers and Ulzzang shidae) I have been more into experimenting "Ulzzang" or "best face" looks.
Not that I would classify myself as a full blown Gyaru or Ulzzang, I am too lazy haha  >_>
Anyway here are a few pictures of me experimenting with Ulzzang AND Gyaru make up...

Ulzzang

Gyaru

To be fair I don't think these pictures really look much different hehe..
but in person I think it looks much different, less shading, lighter blush, no falsies...ect

I think that they both require skill though to achieve, so I will just have to strife harder and practise more.
I suppose as well it isn't all about make up but clothes are important to. I really want to update my wardrobe soon as it is full of dark colours!!

In other news, I bought a wig off of ebay, I will review it as soon as It arrives!!
It's a dark brown, very long and slightly wavy/curly.
I hope it looks as good as it does in the pictures!!

Anyway, I think I will be talking more about Gyaru and Ullzang styles in the near future!!
Thankyou for reading!! :) xxxx

Yoyo and Mui's summer giveaway

Yoyo and Mui from...
http://yuiomui.blogspot.co.uk/
and
http://yuiyoyo.blogspot.co.uk/

have decided to hold a joined summer give away with lots of skin food and My Beauty diary goodies up for grabs, good luck to everyone that enters!!! :)

link to giveaway post; http://yuiyoyo.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/yoyo-and-muis-summer-holiday-giveaway.html?showComment=1343769661237#c1169144132201355016

Apologies!

Hello everyone <3,
I am very sorry for being away for a while and not posting, I have actually been on a kind of mini-holiday, or a "stay-cation" in a beautiful fishing resort close by.
I did't actually go for the amazing fishing opportunities, but my sister was getting married!
It all went very well,  but the weeks up in-coming I was mostly staying at her house helping with wedding planning, and that is why I haven't posted in a loooong time.
I have to say I am not very frequent in blogging and I hope to pick up the pace a little more.
I prefer blogs that are updated a couple times a week instead of once a month haha!!
But anyway, these pictures are from quiet a while ago,

Firstly a mini-haul...
After watching more of dream high, I decided to stock up on hair accessories , so I could experiment with cuter hairstyles, so far I have only tried out the little bows and I am yet to try out the flowers!

I was also admiring the subtle stained cheeks that many of the actresses were wearing, so I got a lip and cheek stain by "2True". It was very cheap but actually the quality is quite good, I would paint it directly onto my cheeks because it dry's very quickly, but if I put a bit on my fingertips and tap it on, it spreads very well and looks very natural.

I bought a dark brown eye liner from boots brand "17" to use for my "wedding make up,"
it lasted well and id very pigmented, the felt tip could be slightly finer though, to make it easier to do thin lines!

I watched snow white and the huntsman a while back and really loved the way the make up was done for Kristen Stewart, so I tried tor recreate that look....

I quite liked the outcome!!

On thursday I went shopping and picked up a lovely lace dress from Primark to wear that night becasue my friends were coming round, I have been wanting to update my wardrobe for a while and I really liked this dress
I have found a way to make the quality of my pics better, INSTAGRAM!!!!
This post was more of an experiment to see if it worked, and hopefully it does, yaaay!!!
No more horrible grainy pics, at least these are good until I get my new camera!!

Yaaaay!!!
This was basically what we did that night, ate music and listen to K-pop, which my friends say is growing on them!!

Hair Highlights and DIY nails

Hey everyone,
Yesterday I went to my local hair salon to get blonde highlights through my hair in time for my sisters upcoming wedding.
To tell you the truth I was actually a little apprehensive, before this I have never had my hair dyed or highlighted before, I guess I have never really had a problem with the colour or wanted to change it.
Usually my hair would naturally highlight in the sun, but because we have barely seen any sun yet it hasn't, so I decided to go get my hair highlighted!! I am very pleased with the results, it's strange but I actually feel way more gyaru with just a few blonde highlights haha!
Anyways here is a picture...

I apologise for the dressing gown, I get cold easily :)

I also got my hair cut and a new fringe, It's more full now, and just slightly sweeping off to this side, this picture doesn't really do it justice.

I also just DIY'd my nails, I paint them quite rarely now, and I should really do it more, I was originally going to do a spots and stripes design but I used sparkly nail varnish and I didn't think it would look right so I did silver tips instead!

Not too shabby I think :)

Hopefully I will be posting up some Haul posts soon, well as soon as I get the package ^--^
Thanks for reading! xxxx

Candy Doll Make up base review

Hey guys,
A few weeks ago now, I ordered Candy Doll Makeup base off of Adam beauty.com and It arrived promptly.
I decided I should probably do a review so here it is....

Packaging
OK I had to Camwhore a bit with the product because the packaging was soooo cayoot, I know, I know vain much ^--^

Because of the filter and the general rubbishness of the quality of this photo here is a more close up one...

I would give the packaging a 4/5 !!

Coverage
Do not expect much coverage from this product, it is very light with a light cream/gel texture. When blended you can see shimmer particles appear. Unfortunately I ordered in shade 2 by mistake, and I should have ordered shade 1, so I have actually been using this for contering and bronzing as it has a nice sheen to it.
2/5

Swatches below.....

Swatched..

Blended

Sorry the colour looks different but the lighting changed, with really good blending I could probably get away with this.

Usefulness as Makeup base?
It smooths your pores out slightly but not dramatically, I couldn't really say this made my makeup stay that much longer, maybe a little bit. I do like the sheeny, sparkly effect of this though, for a night out or party makeup it would be lovely!
3/5

Overall I think I would have enjoyed this product more if I had gotten it in the right shade. But please dont expect this to provide any coverage.
Bye xxx

Summer days OOTD and FOTD

Hey guys,
I was planning on writing this post around a week ago when the weather in the UK was sunny and hot and I had a chance to dust off my summer wardrobe, unfortunately I am just starting a new year at school and have been preoccupied with exams and timetable shifts, so I am writing this post now.

This is an outfit and make up post from around 2 weeks ago when I was enjoying the summer weather, right now when I look outside it is currently grey, dull and raining and I am back in tights and jumpers, sigh...

The tank top is from New look I think and is pretty simple
The skirt is from Australia, which my sister bought me as a birthday present. I think the shop was called Supre
The necklace is vintage from my mum
I am wearing tan tights because my legs are very pale and just don't tan, I am immune to tanning....forever pale

next my FOTD

Collection 2000 concealer in fair
Rimmel Under eye concealer
Lily Lolo mineral foundation
Lily Lolo mineral blush in candy pink
Urban Decay eyeshadow pallette
Soap and Glory thick and Fast Mascara
Bourjois Sweet kiss lipstick in rose tendre
fruitblends lip balm

I hope everyone is having a good week and is looking forward to the weekend, I definitely am!
